Anybody have the original Xbox? Anybody mod their Xbox? If your Xbox is sitting around collecting dust like mine was, something you may want to give some thought to -
What I've done with mine is something that even Lind could appreciate because it doesn't use anything that Microsoft came up with. I've modded my Xbox and installed a completely different program on it called XBMC (Xbox Media Center), which turns the Xbox into a Media Center. This is the open source XBMC, not the Media Center that Microsoft released for the Xbox. I think it might be Linux based, but I'm not sure. I now boot up my Xbox to a cool dashboard on my screen, from which I can access and play things streamed from my computer (one I got for $150 on Ebay to use for media), such as my music collection, pictures, videos, weather, rss feeds, etc.
The stuff you need to do this costs about $30. It requires some tech know how, but I am far from a computer guru, and I figured it out.
