Evidently, the brother of one of Wilks’ one-night stands arrived, quite angry. Atalay, his sister, was pregnant, and he insisted that Wilks return to marry her. Wilks temporarily talked his way out of the obligation, promising to return in four weeks with his decision. Atalay’s brother promised retribution by his entire family is Wilks made the “wrong” decision.
You then set off for the Festabulus estate. Outside the gates, a haggard man stumbled up to you, collapsing at your feet. After you healed him, he explained that he had been geased by a man in black to deliver a message to you. He directed it specifically to Bree and Miguel, relating that the man in black had stated that due to your audacity, the church of Trianda would be the first to suffer when his deity returned. The man in black had promised that the Avengress would be killed, and the church itself would be struck a blow harmful to Trianda. His message delivered, the geas was satisfied and the man left.
You then continued into the Faloon residence, persuading Faloon, for a price, to let you use his wind wizard. The wind wizard turned out to be a wizard who used his magic to propel Faloon’s boat upstream. In this way, you were able to travel to Lake Derek.
You arrived at Lake Derek, and the gem Lindalas found led the way through deep fog to the Isle. On the isle, a dragon harassed you, before Wilks’ slick talking eventually gained you passage. You then entered the cave of the Boatman, with Lindalas answering a riddle that convinced the Boatman that Lindalas was his new master.
The Boatman then led you to a cove at the edge of an impregnable forest. There, you came upon a chessboard, and eventually noticed that all but one piece was on a square that matched its own color. When you moved that piece to the correct color, a portal appeared.

Entering the portal, you found yourself in the depths of the Woodvale Forest. As you looked around you, several elves jumped from the trees, drawing their bows. They did not appear pleased to see you, but just then your old friend Sissfus appeared to defuse the situation.

Sissfus lead you to his village in the trees, where you learned that he had ascended to become one of the “Three,” the leaders of the village. You related your tale, which did not seem to surprise the Three, as they could sense a taint on the land. As you spoke with them, the halfling assassin you had encountered long ago appeared from the shadows, striking, but then disappeared again.
The Three suggested that you seek the Druid, the former head of the Three during the time of the Sickness, who had gone into a life of recluse after he was not able to stop the sickness in time to keep it from killing most of the community. The Three explained that he eventually did stop the sickness, or at least contain it, so perhaps he could provide valuable assistance.
You then set off to find him west of the village, but were attacked again on the platform buy the halfling. This time, a well-placed arrow struck him dead.
It was then that Wilks announced he had made his decision – he was going to return to watch after Atalay during her pregnancy. Sissfus told him to speak to the Three, who could get him back to the outside world. You are thus preparing to continue on without Wilks.
