You then proceeded north, coming across a Tender who had denounced his “faith” and decided to save his child. He was relieved to hear of your plans, and agreed to wait above. After dispatching some trolls, you entered the crypt below. There, you met the ghost of a former priest of the temple, who implored you to clear the Lurker and the clerics of the Faceless One. Evidently, the temple first served the goddess Zhora ages past, and then the Faceless One, before falling into ruin.

When you agreed to clear the temple, the ghost took you to the ghost of his former smith, who helped you by magically improving your weapons. You then were returned to the crypt. There, you defeated the Lurker, a pit fiend, and rescued the children. From there, you confronted an elderly priest, and then raced off to prevent the raising of the temple. While not easy, you defeated the clerics, and destroyed an obelisk they were using to raise the temple. In doing so, though, the ceiling crumbled and blocked your exit, and the walls seemed to be magically imbued.
Exploring deeper into the crypt, you found debris near a ledge, over which a waterfall plummeted. You eventually dropped down into the opening, finding an underground river below, along with more debris in what the former temple inhabitants seemed to use as a dump.

Exploring, you killed some strange hag creatures, and pondered how you might leave the temple. Your ingenuity won out, and you crafted a raft with some of the debris and some rope.
You then set off down the river, but before you knew it, you were careening out of control. A waterfall loomed ahead . . .
Eventually, you sputtered to your senses on dry land, your battered raft next to you. About you, you could see a quaint fishing village. Speaking to a villager, you learned you were in a small village called Thargin’s Falls, a place to small for any maps. The village was at the southeastern edge of the Cradle Lake.
You also learned that the road west, towards Ardon, was closed due to a plague, unless you had obtained a vaccine from the church of Beam in Ardon. You were pointed towards a ship, and told to look for the captain, Theo. That is where you now stand.
