The Druid regained control of his body, and suggested that he had allowed himself to be possessed, so that he might read Elri’s thoughts. He said that while possessed, he saw Elri’s plans. She was heading to northern Elvenwood to recover another gem for the hilt of Alantha Chath. The current gem allowed Alantha to spread sickness to elves. The new gem would allow sickness to spread to all races. This gem was on display in Soraerdyl, in northern Elvenwood.
The Druid was a “Tree Walker,” and could use his ability to portal you from a tree in his grove to a tree in a grove west of a southern town in Elvenwood, Raelorilon. From there, he suggested you find the Tree Whisperer, who could get you to Soraerdyl.
In Soraerdyl, you found treachery. Maleril Ma’For, one of the village council, was behind a plot to kidnap the Tree Whisperer. Below House Ma’For you found a contingent of drow, with who Maleril had made a pact. In exchange for providing the Tree Whisperer, Maleril and her house be spared in the coming onslaught and sickness.
Your journey below House Ma’For was an odd one. You found a maze, with dead rats everywhere. You met Maleril’s strange brother, who was trying to create the “perfect” mouse- one that could survive the dangerous maze. The was dangerous indeed. You encountered manticores, beholders, and basilisks, among other dangers. For a brief while, Skotch was turned to stone by one of the beholders.

Eventually, you came to caverns below House Ma’For, defeated many drow, killed Maleril, and rescued the Tree Whisperer. In return, she gave you her blessing to use the portal to Soraerdyl.

You returned to the surface, and used the portal. It took you to a grove south of Soraerdyl, which was deserted. Rushing north, you came to the platform, and found that demons were already there. In an epic struggle, you fought your way up the winding platform, finally reaching the summit where you fought Elri and two powerful demons. She escaped once again, but you killed the demons.

On the platform, you found Alantha Chath. Placing the gem in the hilt (while keeping Skotch at bay with a bit of trickery), the evil glow of the dagger faded. It seems that you have broken the evil of the dagger at last.
