September 27, 2009 session summary 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Following the map, you passed by a cave with a large opening. A strange goblin outside mentioned that his master inside could grant wishes.

Intrigued, you entered the cave, where the goblin's brother demanded a payment of 500 gold to speak to his master. Vangal paid him, but it turned out to be a trap, as the "master" was a red dragon who attacked you. In perhaps your longest and most dangerous battle ever, you eventually prevailed. One of the goblins returned, howling in despair at the sight of the dead dragon. He tried to flee, but you struck him down.

Exiting the cave, you were stunned to see T'erin. Clad in ragged clothes, he was still dazed from what sounded like experiments performed on him. He warned you that those in the keep knew you were coming. He also mentioned that he thinks his escape, which he doesn't remember much about, was aided by a man clad in robes trimmed with blue.

Approaching the keep, another surprise awaited you in the form of Eve. She stood there, fury in her eyes, ready to strike down an Artificer who begged her for mercy. It was clear to Cyrus in the discussion that followed that she was acting out of personal vengance. After a long talk, Eve relented, upset with herself. Fearing that she wouldn't be able to control her thirst for revenge if she joined you, she stayed behind to guard the rear. As you left her, Cyrus professed his love for her, and then quickly left. Eve seemed surprised but not unhappy, and called out that she would be waiting for him.

Bel ran ahead, attacking two giants guarding the keep entrance. After you killed them, T'erin spoke of a hidden entrance below the keep. Following him, you entered through sewers, finding yourself in catacombs below the keep. You entered a room where a prisoner was being experimented upon, killing several Artificers and Blackwing Drakonar. Grannitt also found his father's axe, and Karghon was surprised to find his mentor, Dedorat, there. Dedorat explained that the wizards had been using the axe to try to remove the amulet on the prisoner. He explained to Karghon about the attack on the weave, and told you that the wizards were using the prisoners, who were like T'erin, as a tool to destroy the weave.

Dedorat expressed concern for you. He said that one of the wizards was holding open a portal to the Weave, though which prisoners were being taken. He said that if you had to kill the wizard to enter the portal, then eventually the portal would close once his magic faded, trapping you there if you didn't make it back out in time.

In any event, you proceeded onward, killing more Blackwings, and more frost giants. You came upon a group of cells, and have just opened one to see a woman that bears a striking resemblance to Jalinoc.
